This afternoon's partial solar eclipse looked great in Brisbane just before a beautiful sunset.
After considering a few different spots, I chose Stapylton; it was reasonably close with great views.
This is what the eclipse might look like if we could actually see the face of the moon as it covers the sun:
The following image appears to show the relatively rare phenomena of a solar 'green flash':
The eclipse was followed by a pretty decent sunset.
And then the stars came out to play.
